Resources

I strive not only to simplify your life, but also to make good use of the things you have, the things you no longer want, or no longer need. Reusing, donating, or selling items are good practices, and everyone wins.

Part of my role is to share what I’ve learned, and give you the option to look at things in a new way. Helping you get out of old patterns that are not working for you — and introducing new ones — is key to our success. I want to provide you with solutions that support the decisions we will make, and relieve you from the weight of physical “stuff.” Too much clutter wastes time, energy, and money. It takes up valuable space, and causes stress.

I emphasize reusing items that you already have. It is rewarding for me to reinvent new uses for existing possessions.

There are many benefits to donating your old stuff to charity

  1. Items you donate support many great charitable causes
  2. Your donations are tax-deductible
  3. Keep your stuff out of a landfill. Donations help the environment!
  4. Get organized! Clean out the clutter in your closets and garage

Local charity organizations are eager for donations. Pickup services are usually provided, so it can be as easy as scheduling a fast, free, pickup! Many kinds of charities are among the available listings, including:

  • Homeless Charities
  • Veterans Charities
  • Cancer/Medical Research Charities
  • Children’s Charities
  • Humane Society Charities
  • Faith-Based Charities
  • Hospice Charities
  • Disability Charities

Donation Town

Donation Town is the internet’s best resource for donating clothing and other household goods to charity.

Donation Town started in September of 2008 as an online directory of charities that offer donation pick-up service. It became apparent that people needed a resource devoted entirely to the charitable donations of clothing and other household goods. There are plenty of great websites out there that focus on donating money to charity, but practically no websites devoted to the donation of non-cash items. DonationTown is here to change that!
